Could being an introvert be related to insomnia?

Serious answers only, please.

As an introvert, I love my time alone. It’s the single best feeling in the world. Being a student, however, really takes a chunk out of my private time. I have little to no time to myself anymore, and my insomnia has gotten more severe as well. Is it possible, due to my lack of alone time, that my insomnia is worse because I try to make up for that lost time during the day?

It can be yes, late at night (usually) is a good time for private time with yourself, writing, reading, watching movies, thinking, listening to music because no one else is around. I do this too and yes it can be habit forming because by the time you get in your own time, it’s daylight the next day. Night time seems to be atmospheric than day, more creative. Tell your doctor though because certain habits can keep you up at night (computer, movies) and it’s not a good thing. At least try to get 6 hours of sleep every day.

I think you may be on to something. I too need a fair bit of time to myself and when I have a lot of obligations to fill, or are stressed out, I have a real tough time sleeping. Also, I tend to stay up late on days I’m busy.

It is certainly possible. I need my winding down time every night. It does not matter how tired I am, I always need my winding down time. If I do not get that I will not sleep.
