I need some good advice on the best way to treat insomnia. It started out where I could sleep just fine, but all day I would absolutely terrible headaches, no matter what over-the-counter pain reliever I took. Then, the headaches got worse and over the last 2 weeks I get about 1-2 hours of sleep tops. I seriously could stay awake for way over 24 hours no problem, but I don’t want to! I hate this!
Can someone tell me how to treat it, or what treatments might be available? Thanks in advance! (the person who can give me some good detailed info on what to do will get best answer!) lol
Oh, I guess I did forget to mention a few things. I’m 19, don’t eat very much anymore (mot by choice! I love food!) I’m not on any medication at the moment except for advil for my headaches, which my Dr. gave me 2 weeks ago.
To add onto answerer #2, I do have stress, anxiety, and mild paranoia at times but these are all things my Doctors are very well aware of. That’s why I’m so confused ![]()
Hey, Ive Had The Same Problem For A While, Couple Of Tips Are, Dont Eat Late, Excerise Or Be Active During The Day So You Most Or All Of Your Energy, And Are Drained At Night. Hide Your Alaram Clock From View When Your In Your Bed Trying To Sleep, So That Way You Are Not Constantly Thinking Of What Time It Is. Read A Good Book Before You Sleep, It Will Make Your Mind Tired And While Help You Sleep Easily When Youve Read Enough. DONT TRY TO FALL ASLEEP WATCHING TV, AND STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER AT NIGHT, IT STIMULATES YOUR MIND WAY TO MUCH. Another Thing You Can Try Is Sleeping With A Fan, Focus On The Noise It Create, And Eventually You Will Fade Away Into Your Sleep.

Insomnia is a complex disorder. You have not mentioned your age or any medication you are having as well as profession. Even than I will guess some thing for you. If you don’t work out regularly than you must start now. Try to take light food in dinner.Don’t take non veg at night. Also Before going to bed pour a lot of water on your hand, elbow downwards & in case of leg it should be down your knees. Your room & your bed should be tidy.As far as medication you should ask for a priscription of Loragipalm & take it only once at bed time for 7 days not more.

1st i m a light sleeper so i awake very easy. normally when i in stress i alway can’t get myself to sleep well.
i will just let go myself over the stress think of something that make me happy.( just like dropping off the stone in my heart) or go talk everying out to my friends. that normally work for me

give up caffeine completely & take a couple of herbal Nitol tablets…you will get headaches if you dont eat enough!
