I have insomnia. I have been using benadryl to sleep almost every night for around 5 or 6 years. I’m 20 years old now. I used to take 2 but now that my tolerance is up I need at least 5 or 6 for it to work even mildly. I have had insomnia on and off through out my life. I have really bad anxiety and am currently being treated with Pristiq daily and also Klonopin as needed for the anxiety. However, I do not want to use the Klonopin to induce sleep as I do not want to become dependent on [...] I have a hard time falling asleep at night. I also wake up a lot throughout the night. I get treated for depression and anxiety. I take lexapro and go to therapy. The doctor recommended I take benadryl at night to help me fall asleep easier and was also a good medication since I also [...] I haven’t had much luck lately falling asleep. So I started using Benadryl to fall asleep. I started it last night. It worked great. Is it safe to use it every night? Or should I use it less?
